I was walking down the street on a cold winter day. I wore a dark brown jacket that was almost the shade of my long, wavy hair. I also wore a red scarf and soft white gloves. My hands were in my pocket and I was looking towards the ground walking forward. I already knew this street’s every stick and stone and barely anybody but me goes on this street anymore so there was no reason to look up. I walked in a steady pace, avoiding all the cracks and holes in the ground, watching my breath appear and disappear in the cold air. All of a sudden, my breath blew out in a quick gasp and I was knocked backwards. I flew back, not able to catch myself because my hands were in my pocket. The whole time I was falling, which was like a split second but it felt like an hour, I was thinking, “What? How did I fall? Maybe I slipped on ice? But I didn’t see anything. I-” And I smacked into the ground. My head throbbed lying on the ground. It hurt so bad. My hair was blocking my face, naturally, so I saw nothing and I was wondering what happened and panicking at the same time. I could only feel the ache and hear the loud ringing in my ears that was blocking away my thoughts. Then someone (or some chance t was something) brushed my long bangs away and lifted up my head. Owww. And then everything started blanking. My last thought was, what a beautiful face…
